About These Terms
These terms cover the work JEY EFF Studio LLC does for you and what each side is responsible for. They apply from the moment you accept a quote or pay a deposit. If we sign a separate production agreement for a specific project, that agreement takes priority wherever the two differ.
Services and Quotes
We do not sell fixed packages. Every project gets scoped and quoted on its own, because a thirty second commercial and a two day hotel shoot need different things. A quote lists what is included, what it costs, and roughly how long it takes. Quotes are valid for thirty days. Anything not written in the quote is not included, and adding it later changes the price and the timeline.
Deposits and Payment
Most projects start with a deposit that reserves the dates and covers pre-production. The balance is due on delivery unless the quote says otherwise. Card payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure checkout, so we never see or store your card details. For larger productions we can split payment into stages tied to milestones.
Timelines
The timeline in your quote assumes we get feedback and approvals when we ask for them. If material, access or sign-off arrives late, the delivery date moves by roughly the same amount. Weather, permits and third parties can also shift a shoot date. When that happens we tell you as soon as we know and reschedule at no extra cost.
Revisions
Photography includes retouching revisions. Video projects include at least two rounds of revisions, and the exact number is in your quote. A revision means adjusting what we agreed to make. Changing the concept, reshooting, or adding scope after approval is new work and gets quoted separately.
Cancellation and Refunds
If you cancel before we start production, the deposit covers the pre-production already done and is not refundable. If you cancel after a shoot has happened, you are responsible for the costs already committed, including crew, locations and equipment. If we cancel for a reason that is ours, you get a full refund of anything paid for work not delivered.
Ownership and Licensing
You own the final delivered files and the right to use them for what the quote describes. We keep ownership of our project files, raw footage, RAW photographs, editing timelines and color grades, because those are our working tools rather than the deliverable. If you need the raw material or a broader license, tell us before we quote and we will price it in.
Showing the Work
Unless you ask us not to, we may show the work we made for you in our portfolio, on this website, and on our social channels, and we may name you as the client. If a project is confidential or under embargo, say so in writing before we start and we will keep it out of everything until you clear it.
What We Need From You
You are responsible for giving us the brand materials, product, access and approvals the project needs, and for making sure you actually hold the rights to anything you hand us, including logos, music and footage. If a location or a person appearing on camera needs a permit or a release, we will tell you which ones and help arrange them, but the underlying permission has to be legitimate.
Confidentiality
We keep your unreleased material, internal information and anything obviously private to yourself. We expect the same about our rates, process and working documents. This holds whether or not we sign a separate confidentiality agreement.
Limits of Liability
We carry out the work with professional care, but we cannot guarantee a commercial result such as views, sales or engagement. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the project the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect losses like lost profit or lost opportunity.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador, and any dispute goes to the courts of Quito. If you are outside Ecuador and need a different arrangement, raise it before we start and we will look at it.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the studio changes. The version that applies to your project is the one published when you accepted the quote. The date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
